JFS offers ongoing education to Connecticut residents covering the full range of aspects of adoption and child-rearing. Our training meets the 10-Hour Hague and State of Connecticut requirements as well as other country specific requirements. These programs, which generally offered in Bridgeport, provide an opportunity to meet with other Connecticut families adopting children of similar ages or from same countries. Families from Fairfield, New Haven, Litchfield and Hartford Counties generally attend these classes.
JFS also refers to on-line educational classes which also fulfill the educational requirements to adopt a child in Connecticut.
