End of Year Tax Deductable Contribution
December 9th, 2011
Dear Friend,
As the New Year approaches, please remember to make your end of year tax
deductable contribution to Jewish Family Service. As you know, we are busy
providing quality social services to friends and neighbors in the community who
are less fortunate than you and me. Community members are constantly calling
JFS in search of help.
Here are some of the services JFS has provided in this last week.
- We helped senior citizen facing foreclosure by provided resources
on low cost housing and offered short term counseling.
- We offered a 14 year old girl in crises counseling with JFS child
specialist.
- We helped an unemployed adult having trouble coping with his
life's situation by provided short term counseling and referred for
specialized services.
- We provided adoption services to a childless couple looking for
assistance in adoption.
- The visiting Nurses Association called for assistance about a
homebound and isolated senior. JFS provided rides to medical
appointments and friendly visits.
- JFS provided counseling to a Wife who was depressed about her
marriage now that children are out of the house.
- We helped a Holocaust survivor remain in his own home by
conducted an ināhome assessment and needed assistance.
- We helped a concerned out of town daughter by visiting her 89
year old mother and providingd emotional support and care
management.
- We referred an adult son to support group to provide comfort and
community resourses to help him with aging parents.
- We helped a rape victim in crises by providing counseling and
referral to specialized services.
Many of clients do not have the means to pay for our services, and do
not have anywhere else to turn. Our community should reach out and
support these neighbors in their times of need. Second to last line
should read "our organization". Last line: Thanks to people like you we
have been able to continue to provide services, please consider
contributing to our organization to help us continue to provide these
services that are desperately needed by our community. |
