Since 1974, Jewish Family Service, Bridgeport, and the Jewish Center for Community Services have co-sponsored a Kosher Lunch Program every weekday at the JCCS, 4200 Park Avenue, Bridgeport.

The Kosher Lunch is served by the Salvation Army with foods prepared by the Jewish Home for the Elderly with social services provided by Jewish Family Service.

It is open to everyone over the age of 60 with a donation of $1.75 per meal, and van transportation available from the Bridgeport/Fairfield area for a fee of $1.50 per roundtrip. Shabbat services are conducted at 11:30 AM on Fridays by Allison Gruder, social worker at JFS; other activities are scheduled during the month.
